East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme (EMICS) is a network of highly trained doctors who support ambulance service crews in responding to serious accidents and emergencies.
The team is specially trained in pre-hospital emergency medicine and carries a range of specialist equipment to deal with serious trauma at the scene, when immediate treatment is the only option.
EMICS is run by a team of volunteer doctors who give up their free time to attend incidents across the East Midlands and raise money to buy the vital equipment they need; each doctor’s kit costs approximately £25,000, and the charity receives no formal funding.
The team works in all weather conditions, so their uniform has to be comfortable, warm and practical. Knowing that Lands’ End Corporate and Teamwear could provide clothing that‘s up to the challenge, they approached us for support.
Having chosen polo shirts and warm, lightweight fleeces, they took advantage of our bespoke embroidery service to perfectly recreate the EMICS logo – ensuring they’re easily recognisable at the scene of an accident, and at the same time helping to raise the charity’s profile at fundraising events.
Lands’ End Corporate and Teamwear are proud to support EMICS; to find out more about the amazing work they do, and how you can support them too, go to http://www.emics.org.uk
